6月15日 What I see from the merge of Microsoft and Yahoo? Have you heard of or been talking about the merge of Microsoft and Yahoo? The drama starts from the scene of showdown between CEO of Yahoo Jerry Yang and Microsoft's Steve Ballmer. Steve announced that Jerry bidding too high on the Yahoo's $33 per stock, however microsoft is willing to pay $30 per stock is already far too high for yahoo.Jerry claimed Microsoft has been lower estimated yahoo. monthes later, yahoo announced microsoft refused to take over as $30 per stock as they believe it is not worth it.It ended with putting Jerry in a very bad position as the stakeholders of Yahoo accused him not selling yahoo when it was $30, the countership ended badly for the 2 giants,the recent announcement of giving up of yahoo and microsoft merge has been a hit for yahoo stock which decreased 12%. From the surface, we all thinking what's wrong with you, jerry? u missed the boat and it won't come back again. I was thinking what is the real story behind the curtain of Microsoft -Yahoo affair?Microsoft not only kills the chances of a friendly merger, but also makes yahoo so undesirable that microsoft even wouldnt bother with a hosile takeover. I all the sudden pop up a question, why microsoft wants yahoo. Microsoft knows the new combination would still come to the third of all search engines - still well behind Google. Also there is an evidence to suggest that either yahoo or Microsoft have any idea how to get more ppl using their search engines. Yahoo keep saying Microsoft buying yahoo is not fitting Yahoo's own strategy and long-term vialibility by encouraging advertisers to use google as opposed to your Panama paid search system. Therefore the likely answer is not that Microsoft wanted Yahoo for its search facility. Then what does Microsoft want? What I suspect is Microsoft wants another important piece of Yahoo: its registered accounts and associated with yahoo mail and IM users. As we all known the famous Microsoft Live combined with hotmail,spaces,IM,msn into one. The merge will create at least 500 million registered accounts, utterly over Google's paltry 50 million. That is a hell of heaps of eyeballs to market products and services to, and it is also a field Google is just a drop of an ocean. Apparently this is not what Yahoo wants, as they were focusing on search. I still believe the story of the merge is far from over. we will find out what microsoft really wants very soon. For me, still in my 20s, I wouldn't call myself has grown to a MAN figure, might even too early to talk about what measures of a man are, however, I believe becoming man is a learning process. it includes responsibility, knowledge, wisdom, strength, pride, integrity, sacrifice, love. 5月27日 It is so happy to see a old friend migrate from far far away! Jin ye is Korean however he grew up in china. I know his wife Qudongjian when I was just 13 from primary school. She was also my deskmate for 2 years. we lived very close by, so we walked home together everyday with Yanming or Shitiantian, Liu jia.Those days were so relaxed and pure friendship. Later on, I know Mr Jin through Qu as they were dating. Probably they were the only couple who finally got married from primary school. Now Mr Jin and Mrs Qu are migrating to Australia!!! yay!!I am so surprised when I know they are moving to australia from shenzhen. I met Mr Jin in Chinatown and also know they have a babe daughter called Jin Xiya. I am very glad they choose Sydney, Oz because they love the weather and relaxed lifestyle here. I really belive the strong china has changed the thinkings of new migrates. It is also a learning process when we talk about changes of China and what kind of business we might run in the future. I start searching more news of economy information of China. From the beginning of this year, China's inflation for April rose at an annual pace of 8.5% on Tuesday, reversing a fall in March. The pace of inflation now sits just below the 12-year high of 8.7% set in February. Food prices rose by 22.1% in the month, with pork prices up 68.3% from a year earlier. Meanwhile, cooking oil was up 46.6% over the year, while vegetables rose 13.6%. With this high pressure of inflation rate and grocery shopping, China still hits a strong ecomony growth of 10.6 percent first quaterly this year. China's strongest earthquake in 58 years is more likely to fan inflation than cool economic growth, economists said from HK. The May 12th quake that hit the Sichuan province affected 14,207 industrial companies, which may have incurred 67 billion yuan ($AUS11 billion) of losses, equal to about 0.5 percent of the country's 2007 GDP. As sichuan only counts about 3.3% total economy of China, the total growth won't be affected by the quake.But likely the price of rice and pork will be likely to rise as Sichuan is the biggest supplier of rice and pork.

Since the Wenchuan Earthquake, I've been moved by many many pictures, stories... And this one that I read moved me to tears. I translated this real story to English to share with you because I believe mother's greatest love is the same all over the world. When you look at that vivid life in the soldier's arms from the picture, you just want to cuddle tha babe, and say: "I feel the pain for you. but be strong,babe. A mum died, with her 3 months's baby under her body, and she left words on the mobile phone... She was already dead when the rescuer found her. She was burried under the crushed house. Through gaps of those ruins, we can see her last posture. Getting on her knees, the upper part of the body was prostrate forward, with her hands on the ground to support body. That was something like an acient Chinese woman who was kowtowing, however she just looked weried because she was out of shape by pressure from the concrete. The rescuers confirmed her death by touching her through the gaps of ruins. They shouted at the ruins again and again, knocked the bricks using the crowbar, but no response inside. Then the rescuing team gave up and decided to go to next building to find more survivers, suddenly the leader heard something and ran back, calling to the team "come here!!". He came to her body, stretched his hands under the woman, feeling and touching, thenloudly he shouted "there is someone, a baby!! still alive!!!". Through a lot of efforts, rescuers cleaned up the ruins carefully which blocked her. Under her body, lied her baby, who was wrapped in a small red quilt with yellow flowers scattered in red. He is about 3 or 4 months' old. Since well protected by mother's dead body, he is totally safe and not hurt at all. He was sleeping on both ears when the rescuer carried him out, and his lovely and peaceful face cheered everyone around him after so many days of hard work. The doctor along with the rescuing team unfastened the quilt to check if the baby is all right, and he found there was a moible phone filled in the quilt. The doctor looked at the screen subliminally, an unsent written sms was saying: "my dear baby, if you could survive, please don't forget how much mum loves you". As a doctor, he experienced too much death and lives parting for ever, but at this moment, he cried. The mobile was passed, every person who read this message sheded to tears.

Whenever I read the news and moving stories from the disaster zone, tears can’t help falling off my face. Everyday I hear people complaint, I hear people not satisfied with their lives. Most people are driven by the material world and looking for their ultimate satisfaction of goals. The most challenging experience I have is some people I loved hate everything in their lives, hate their work mates, hate their managers, hate their relationships because they believe only way to success is to break up and hurt people who loved them. they think their friends are fake, their lives are miserable because they don’t have good families, no one can be trusted, they can sell their souls to evil to gain some sort of ‘success’, they keep hurting and damaging lives and people around them and still believe they are helping them, they believe people who they even never talked with can save them by sending threats emails and getting commissions. Also their 'beloved ones' who they think they will stay together forever wrote on blogs saying they never loved you, they wanted you just because they wanted to win the games. Now you are badly hurt, lost your jobs again and saying what the point to live in this world, and why people are so fake and just sympathize you and never put on real actions to save you. You said you want to keep away from these nasty people and never will come back.Wake up, mate! I wish u look around, you should see some positive sides of your life and change your life by yourself and question why all of these happen to you. I really wish you well.
Reality is nobody going to help you unless you help yourself. Life is precious and we need to see the positive sides of life and live it full. Nobody will sympathize weak people. I see young boys and girls who have full abilities to work but choose to beg on the streets for some change or a few coins for a train ticket, I never give them a penny. I see people who grew up in third countries and even struggled to grow up with enough food and clean water, become millionaires later on. I see people who have degrees and healthy life, still complaints life is miserable; I see kids who lost their legs or arms in earthquake and still smile and believe in themselves. I see people who are 30ish and don’t want to work but staying at home and live on centrelink; I see people who is 84 donate all of her savings to disaster zone to save more lives…
We can’t choose our parents; but we can choose what kind of lives and spirits we live in. Is it a life full of negativities and denials or full of happiness, motivations and cherishment? The choice is in your hand. If life brings you down, don't collapse yourself. Be strong to face anything and taking the responsibilities. In ancient time, all humans were hunter-gathers. This means our daily tasks were aimed at survival, like catching food, building shelter and defending your family. These tasks all involved in a huge variety of physical activities including walking, running, lifting, throwing, fighting and climbing. Do you think these people are fit? Of course! In fact, study prove that they were at the peak of human fitness and health (think of Brad Pitt from Troy), which is important to understand because research shown that your body is 100 percent the same as it was 40,000 years ago!
Obviously, our lifestyle is totally different from thousands years ago. These days, 70% of our time, we stay in our home and office. another 10% for clubbing, nightlife, parties. We walk from bed to toilet, jump in the car, sit at work, drive home, hit the toilet again, and jump back to bed! All of us are having the typical routine. Of course, people like me, we attend gym! however, we lose the fun part of the exercise, it was like a task or money burner. We hit the running machine with a shity mood and exhausted mind. Of course, we lose the results by repeat the daily routine on weights or cardio.
If you are dreading your workout or can program the treadmill with your eyes shut, then it is time to inject something new and fun into your training, if you enjoy it, you will keep doing it! To achieve the same level of fitness that our hunter-gathered ancestors enjoyed, we should introduce the same level of variety in out own workouts. Here are the tips from this month's FF magazine. It does hit me as I am in the situation feeling tired of the weekly repeatitive routine in the gym. Here are the tips:

Vary the time and intensity of your workouts. If you always train at a certain intensity, then you are not creating change. If your workouts usually last for an hour, then try training for a shorter period of time with a higher intensity. Conversely, if you always try and lift at your maximum then try a lighter week to promoto recovery.

You need to change your exercises on a regular base. So, if you are a treadmil walker, force your body to change by going into a period of resistance training (this doesn't have to be weights, it can be working out on a Swiss ball, etc.) If you are a muscle-focusd person rememeber that your muscle actually grow while you recover, not while you lift. For this reason, try some yoga or body balance class.

Adaption happens in 4-6 weeks. This means, if you are training properly, than you have exhausted your protential after a month or so. Therefore, if you stick with the same program after this period, your body will not continue to change because it will have already adapted to the challenge you were presenting it with.

Vary Eveything - not just your training. The inside of your body needs variety as well as the outside, so periodically try something at mealtimes.
After all, variety brings joys and fun to your work out, if you enjoy it, you will keep it going! =)

Is Vodafone the best carrier for an Aussie iPhone? The iPhone rumour mill has been working overtime of late, but most of the attention was on Telstra and Optus. Late yesterday Vodafone issued a one paragraph press release, which sent the Australian media into a frenzy. Vodafone is releasing the iPhone is Australia "later this year" but sadly there was no mention of a 3G iPhone. The general consensus is that the Australian iPhone won't be locked to one carrier, so it's likely we'll still see the iPhone on other networks, but could we live with a Vodafone-only iPhone? The 2G iPhone that people are currently importing into Australia can access the internet via GPRS and EDGE mobile data networks, but not UMTS or HSDPA. EDGE is faster than GPRS, but there's only one EDGE network in Australia and it's run by Telstra. That means in theory you should get the fastest internet access on an 2G iPhone by sticking in a Next G SIM card, but unfortunately it's the most expensive of the mobile broadband networks. This of course is an incentive for Vodafone to wait for the 3G iPhone. In the US the iPhone currently retails for $US400 for the 8GB version and $US500 for the 16GB version. In addition to Australia, Vodafone will sell the iPhone in the Czech Republic, Egypt, Greece, Italy, India, Portugal, New Zealand, South Africa and Turkey. "Vodafone Australia is enormously pleased to be included in the agreement to sell the iPhone to our customers later this year," Vodafone chief executive Russell Hewitt said. There’s a lot of very sad news in the world at the moment, and it can be pretty depressing. It’s easy to expect the worst when people are talking about food shortages and rent crises and recessions and exploding interest rates and grocery price incease $140 monthly. Scary stuff! Fair enough - our eyes need to be open to the injustices in the world, but it doesn’t help for us to become overwhelmed with shame and hopelessness and despair. Looking into scary stuffs in a positive way, it's inspiring! back to us, we need to set up goals and build up a structure to fit your dream. There is an old saying that goes “if you aim at nothing, you will hit it every day”.
A lot people are going from drama to drama with no idea where the ultimate outcome was. They had no driving motivation to achieve anything other than trying to constantly stay in front, at best. Mate, you need to set goals to have something to aim for. To reach any goal that you set, it makes it easier to achieve it if you know what will be involved. It makes it so much easier if you structure yourself and your direction. Please don’t forget about your personal life either. There needs to be balance and structure in both your work and your personal life. If there is no structure in your personal life, you may tend to become a bit of a workaholic, which in the end may lead to more problems than benefits. Like a fine-tuned car that runs on premium fuel, the best of engine oils and the proper parts, so your whole life should be structured and balanced in the same fashion. For the past few seasons, I have been looking for what will be the new silhouette that will define at least the first two decades of the 21st century. During the Spring 2008 season, menswear designers were experimenting with new materials, hence, I thought that the it will be technology, as in development of new or smart fabrics will be the path that men’s fashion will go. For the past few years, men's fashions have forgotten the most important element of menswear, i.e., the MAN himself. In short, seeing the strong male this season, it is actually refreshing to see him emerge again after years of metrosexuality and pencil thin silhouettes, though it was revolutionary when it was introduced, it already had its time. Though every other person in the planet is male, sales of menswear compared to womenswear has a 35 – 65 or 40 to 60 ratio. Are men buying less clothes than women? Or, are women buying more clothes because they have more to choose from compared to the choices that men have? If we look at the fashion calendar, more days are given to womenswear than menswear. Case in point, in both Milan and Paris, the menswear season are 4 days only, while the womenswear season is 10 days.In New York and London, it is almost non-existent. Menswear designers in New York have to be content with being featured during the first day of the season, which by the way, they even have to share the day with womenswear designer. So, seeing a strong showing in Milan, with designers focusing on THE MAN and not just playing with the silhouettes to be able to sell them is like a breath of fresh air. Maybe, the designers are right. We have to focus on the wearer before we can create a new silhouette for him to wear. Here are my favourites:

Later on when she became so successful and she remind the old time and said: "When I came to NY, it was the first time I'd ever taken a plane, the first time I'd ever gotten a taxi-cab, the first time for everything. And I came with $35 in my pocket. It was the bravest thing I'd ever done." later on she got a job as a dancer in band called "breakfast Club". She had a romance with one of the musicians in the band and later tried to sing with the band. Her protencial was then recognized by one of the Warner's Brother's Producers. That is the start of her career. She has signed to Warner's Brothers for her entire career. She regenerated herself many many times. Each time was a big success. No any other female musicians can say they can break the record of what Madonna did. However what inspires me most is her spirit. As I believe, She has got evething, but she still works hard and bring the best music to the world with the best producers and contributing to thw world's war, poverty and religous issues. As I huge fan of her, I wish she could keep going and doing more contribution using her fame and fortune not only on the sexual or music in the entertaining indutry but also kids round the world, illness, peace and poverty. That will make her an even bigger star. Madonna has promised will come to Sydney for her next world tour next year. I will definitely going and support her. She hasn't come back to sydney of her world concerts for almost 20 years. Really expecting this return!

I was watching one of Oprah Winfrey's shows talking about a recommended book from Oprah's book club and a man that she loves as a friend -- Sydney Poitier, who is the first black man winning the Academy award in 1967. He released a auto biography named "Measure of a Man" in 2007. In this luminous memoir, a true American icon looks back on his celebrated life and career. His body of work is arguably the most morally significant in cinematic history, and the power and influence of that work are indicative of the character of the man behind the many storied roles. Sidney Poitier here explores these elements of character and personal values to take his own measure—as a man, as a husband and a father, and as an actor. I was questioning myself what the real measure of a man is; What we define a man; What we value and what we prefer to become in 20 or 30 years time and look back say: I am a real man.
